Cleveland Win to Pull Even With Kansas City
The Cleveland Bobcats topped the Kansas City Bulls by the score of 4-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the League Championship Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Cleveland starter Fred Ahrens, who threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win.

The Bulls had few good swings against Ahrens, the left-hander, who threw 117 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cleveland skipper Daniel Mays.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Independence Field in Kansas City.
