.332 Average Wins Title for Bozza

With another season in the books, the 1975 American Baseball League batting title has been awarded to Chicago first baseman Don Bozza.
He put up a .332 batting average, recording 188 hits in 566 at-bats.
Bozza's numbers included 25 doubles, 4 triples, 19 home runs, 103 RBIs and 86 runs scored. This year's batting champ appeared in 156 games.

Cooper Leads NBL Hitters

1975 was a very good year for Jackie Cooper of the Brooklyn Bluebirds.
He ended the regular season with the number one batting average in the National Baseball League. The Bluebirds center fielder took the title with a .369 average.
In his award-winning season he banged out 225 hits, 18 home runs and 83 RBIs while playing in 159 games.

Kansas City Playoff Hopes Officially Zero

A postseason berth was in the plans for the Kansas City Bulls, but the team has been narrowly edged out and will not qualify.
"We just couldn't quite do it," manager DD Martin said.
This is the club's 9th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1966. In total, the Bulls have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Bulls have missed the playoffs 7 times.
