Home Loss Shrinks Bluebirds Series Lead to 3-2
Already down in the Divisional Series, the St. Louis Explorers put on their best show, beating the Brooklyn Bluebirds by a final score of 1-0 today. Bruce Cardenas was special. He threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball. St. Louis now trails Brooklyn 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

Cardenas allowed no runs on 6 hits over 8.1 innings for the Explorers. He walked 4 and struck out 4.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Cardenas said after the game.

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Corps of Discovery Stadium in St. Louis.
