The Boston Terriers got a great start from 35-year-old right-hander Jeff Butler, as Boston won the contest, 4-1, at Bluff Park. Butler threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 runs in the win, which allowed the Boston to grab a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Lou Middleton, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Middleton contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Boston up, 4-1.

"I take a professional approach to my job," said Butler. "I've been around this game for a while."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bluff Park in Dallas.
