Traders Take 2-1 Lead with 5-1 Win
When the stakes were high, Larry Cox raised his game to match.

The right-handed Cox turned in a stellar performance in Game 3 of the Divisional Round, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Chicago Traders to victory. He allowed 1 hit and struck out 6. The win gave Chicago a 2-1 lead over the New York Knickerbockers in the best-of-7 series.

Chicago starter Larry Cox pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-1 right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 9 innings.

"We had a good game plan," Cox said, "and we were able to execute it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York.
