Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Alex Robinson, the Pittsburgh Industrials stopped the visiting New York Knickerbockers, 10-2, in Game 2 of the Divisional Round. Robinson went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Industrials, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Robinson had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the fifth for the Industrials. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Pittsburgh trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run.

Said losing manager Timothy Widholm: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 28th , 1973 at Knickerbocker Stadium in New York.
