Generals Even With Drillers After Home Win
The Atlanta Generals took down the Houston Drillers by the score of 3-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Divisional Round. The largest share of the credit belongs to Atlanta starter Bruce Owen, who threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

Owen had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the second for the Generals. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Atlanta trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"We lost," Houston manager Tom Harrington said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantic Station Field in Atlanta.
