Bill John pitched well, but his team, the Toronto Hurons, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Baltimore Lords at Dominion Field. John Pardoe, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-5. Tom Payton, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in triples with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Payton contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Baltimore up, 1-0.

"I really like what we did out there today," Payton said after the game.
