Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Seattle Emeralds and Chicago Hawks.

Alex Rojas had a hand in Seattle defeating Chicago by the score of 6-5. Rojas went 4 for 5 at the plate, scoring 2 times and driving in 2 runs. The last-place Hawks now sit at 29-44.

Phil Soroka was 1-4 for Seattle. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Soroka had a clutch at-bat. Facing Chicago hurler Don McCoy, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Emeralds a 6-5 lead.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Rojas told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
