Explorers Suffer 5-3 Loss to Pittsburgh
|
Pittsburgh left-hander Bob Briggs pitched his team to victory over the St. Louis Explorers at Allegheny Field. The final score was 5-3. Briggs, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. The win for the Industrials raised their record to 40-34.
