Eagles Stumble, Lose to Packers
The Cincinnati Packers got a stellar effort from pitcher Damon Rutherford, helping Cincinnati score a win over the visiting Washington Eagles, 8-2. Rutherford got the win, improving to 8-7. The Packers got a big hit from right fielder Jerry Anderson. Facing Washington pitcher David Rodriquez in the bottom of the seventh, Anderson pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 7th home run of the season put the Packers ahead, 8-0.
