In a close game at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, the Milwaukee Dairymen edged the San Diego Captains, 4-3. Milwaukee catcher Dennis Adams stood apart with his performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Milwaukee is now 35-41, San Diego 37-37.

With Milwaukee leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Adams hit a sinker from Jeff Ferguson for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Dairymen ahead, 3-0.
