Atlantic Avenue Grounds was the site for American Baseball League action featuring the Boston Terriers and Montreal Habitants.
The Montreal Habitants downed the Boston Terriers, 6-1, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Stellar pitching by Rich Barron had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. With the victory, the Habitants upped their record to 40-36.
In the top of the fourth, Montreal left fielder Jerry Sullivan had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Sullivan stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-0, Montreal. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"It was a solid team effort," said Barron after the game.
