Weintraub Gets 3-0 Shutout
|
The New York Empires met their match today in Atlanta hurler Ralph Weintraub. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," New York skipper John Harris said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."
In the 3-0 victory, Weintraub whiffed 2 and gave up 3 walks.
To date this year, Weintraub shows a 8-7 record, 17 starts, 128.1 innings, 68 strikeouts and a 1.96 ERA.
