The Seattle Emeralds scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Houston Drillers at Sam Houston Field. Seattle pitcher Mike Harris held his own in the contest. Harris yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 9-3. Picking up the save was Phil Moore, his 10th.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Charlie Hall to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Emeralds on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Harris.

The Emeralds raised their record to 35-40.
