Milwaukee pitcher Tom Rockliffe had a large part in his team subduing the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Earning his 7th save of the year was Arnie Keilman. The last-place Dairymen own a record of 24-53.

Milwaukee third baseman Gary Branan contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Dairymen ahead, 5-1.

Branan called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
