Atlantic Station Field was the site for American Baseball League action featuring the Atlanta Generals and New York Empires.

The New York Empires defeated the Atlanta Generals, 6-2, in American Baseball League action at Atlantic Station Field. New York pitcher Danilo Molina had a standout performance. The Empires sit in 4th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 40-37.

New York used the bat of Irv Olson to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Empires ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I went after the hitters," said Molina. "No pussyfooting around."
