At Corps of Discovery Stadium, the St. Louis Explorers and San Diego Captains were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Good production from second baseman Tom Row helped the San Diego Captains topple the St. Louis Explorers, 10-5. Row went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Captains. Ray McKenzie snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Robbie Goolsby suffered the loss.

Early in the game, Row had a run-scoring triple for San Diego. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Captains on top, 1-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Row said.

St. Louis drops to 5-3.
