Due in large part to right fielder Bobby Bridges, the Los Angeles Pobladores sunk the Houston Drillers, 6-4. Bridges went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives Los Angeles a season record of 41-35.

With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Bridges hit a cutter from Bill Switzer for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Pobladores ahead, 5-1.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Bridges.
