Bluebirds Earn 4-2 Win Against Eagles
|
Flatbush Park was host to some action-packed drama.
Led by John Seidler, the Brooklyn Bluebirds downed the Washington Eagles, 4-2. Seidler was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bluebirds. Brooklyn pitcher Tom Keller got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Charlie Tovar got the loss.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Seidler hit a sinker from Charlie Tovar for a 2-run home run. The Bluebirds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Seidler.
Brooklyn now sits at 34-45, while Washington falls to 37-43.
