Habitants Shut Out Lords, 2-0
The Montreal Habitants, behind a great outing from Rich Barron defeated the Baltimore Lords, 2-0, at Seton Hill Stadium. Barron, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 6 walks. Al Johns, who finished 2nd in the ABL in saves with 24 last year, earned the save for Montreal.

Montreal used the hitting of Jerry Sullivan to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Habitants on top, 2-0. For the game, Sullivan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Baltimore skipper Steve Read, "and it cost us."

The win puts the Habitants at 39-40, while the Lords drop to 37-41.
