Streaking Pobladores Win Another One, 6-2
The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at San Vicente Park, knocking off the Houston Drillers, 6-2. Starting pitcher Bob Powell played a key role in the triumph. The 4th-place Pobladores have won 8 in a row.

Ray Henderson had a big 2-run double for the Pobladores in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Dick Knight and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pobladores ahead, 5-0.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Powell.
