Dairymen Score Late, Upend Packers, 3-1
|
In a tight tilt between the Milwaukee Dairymen and the Cincinnati Packers, Chris Davalos was the deciding factor. The Milwaukee right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Arnie Keilman recorded the save, his 1st. Milwaukee is now 34-48.
Milwaukee needed the clutch hitting of Tug Hollenbeck to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dairymen on top, 2-1. For the game, Hollenbeck had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Hollenbeck.
