Raab Lifts Eagles to 9-2 Triumph
Washington and Philadelphia took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Washington first baseman Bob Raab made his presence felt in the 9-2 Eagles triumph over the Philadelphia Quakers. Raab was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The Eagles improved their record to 38-42 with the win over Philadelphia.

Second Baseman Ed Cook made an impact for Washington, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Fred Harrison in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Cook went 2 for 4 with a double.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Jeff Green.
