Win Makes Dairymen 46-36
|
Milwaukee picked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, bumping off the Washington Eagles, 4-2. Pitcher Lewis Smith was a major reason the Dairymen emerged victorious. Mike Coyle was credited with the save for Milwaukee, his 11th of the season. The Eagles, now 37-46, have lost 4 straight.
The Dairymen got a big at-bat from catcher Ian Cleary. For the game, Cleary was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Milwaukee a 3-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
