Captains Suffer 4-2 Home Defeat
|
San Diego Sporting Complex was the site of a competitive game between the San Diego Captains and Kansas City Bulls.
The Kansas City Bulls converted a terrific effort from starter Dennis Greenlee into a win over the San Diego Captains at San Diego Sporting Complex. The Bulls won the game by a final score of 4-2. Greenlee picked up the win for Kansas City, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. Bob Crosby recorded his 19th save for Kansas City.
Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Chris Taylor to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bulls ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Greenlee.
The win hiked the Kansas City record to 46-37.
