Kansas City and San Diego duked it out and the Bulls came out victorious.

Hal Lahr impressed in the 8-5 Kansas City win over San Diego. Lahr was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Bulls lifted their record to 47-37.

In the top of the seventh, the Bulls grabbed the lead when Lahr hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ray McKenzie made it 6-3, Kansas City.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Lahr, "but we could've played better."
