Captains Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
San Diego Sporting Complex was rocking after an exciting Captains win.

Kent Schiffer left his imprint on the 4-3 San Diego win against the Kansas City Bulls. Schiffer, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL in triples with 6, was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. The win belonged to Ed Prater in relief. His record improves to 7-3. Greg Stalling took the loss for Kansas City.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Schiffer hit a fastball from Greg Stalling for a run-scoring single. The Captains, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was raucous," said Schiffer.

The win puts the Captains at 41-43, while the Bulls drop to 47-38.
