Eagles Lose to Industrials, 3-2
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Pittsburgh Industrials and Washington Eagles.
The Washington Eagles could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Alex Fonseca into a win. Instead, the Pittsburgh Industrials prevailed, 3-2. Fonseca threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Ray Williams got the save, his 14th in 16 chances.
Pittsburgh pitcher Bob Briggs helped the Industrials go up, 2-0, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Briggs hit a 2-run single off Washington pitcher Alex Fonseca.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Washington skipper Brandon Tucker.
The current losing streak for Washington has reached 4 games.
