Lords Walk It Off for 50th Win of Season
|
The Baltimore Lords bested the Twin Cities Northmen by a score of 5-3, with left fielder Clinton Groce getting the main credit. On the day, Groce went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Lords. Reliever Danny Coleman picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Curt Kirkley took the loss. The Lords now have a mark of 50-35.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Baltimore trailing 3-2, Groce hit a slider from Curt Kirkley for a 3-run home run, giving the Lords the walk-off win.
"Feels good to get the job done," Groce said after the game.
