Traders Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
The Chicago Traders topped the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 4-3, in 10 innings at Union Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Dick Scorza. Chicago reliever Randy Weisenberg was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Cardell Franklin took the loss. With the win, Chicago has a record of 39-46. Los Angeles falls to 38-47.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ted Karoly in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Cardell Franklin to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Karoly said, postgame.
