The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at San Diego Sporting Complex, dropping the San Diego Captains, 7-3. Dick Scorza, who is tied for 10th in the NBL with a 1.22 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The Bulls are now 42-41, while the Captains fall to 46-40.

Kansas City used a well-timed hit by Haskell McLemore to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Bulls ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said McLemore, "and then get after it again."
