Seattle Beaten, 6-3, by Houston
|
The Houston Drillers had to overcome a big game from Seattle left fielder Freddie Boone to leave Puget Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-3. Boone was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeff Ferguson earned his 4th save in 6 chances. The 4th-place Drillers have won 5 consecutive games.
Mark Sisson came through with a big-time hit for Houston. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Sisson.
