In a low-scoring affair between the Houston Drillers and the Seattle Emeralds, pitcher Francisco Castro was the difference between victory and defeat. The Houston right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Drillers win. The winner was Castro. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Fred Wild.
