Empires Walk It Off for 46th Win of Season
|
The New York Empires picked up a win at Queens Field, taking down the Atlanta Generals, 4-1. Starting pitcher Jimmy Bell was a big reason why. The win puts New York at 46-40 this season.
Jerry Parker was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Empires center fielder hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Bell.
