Myron Baird, who is tied for 5th in the NBL in quality starts with 15, had a strong outing for the Cleveland Bobcats against the Brooklyn Bluebirds at Flatbush Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. The National Baseball League Eastern Division-leading Bobcats have a record of 56-30.

Keith MacPherson, who finished 4th in the NBL in slugging percentage with .566 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. MacPherson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Cleveland up, 2-1.
