The Dallas Wranglers defeated the San Francisco Seagulls, 8-4, at Bluff Park. Leading the charge for Dallas was left fielder Pat Simmons. He went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dario Perez earned the win to go to 9-7. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 5 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The defeat makes San Francisco 55-32.

Had Chikashi Yoshimura not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Yoshimura hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Wranglers.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Simmons.
