Toronto and Boston duked it out and the Hurons came out victorious.

The Toronto Hurons besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Boston right fielder Ron Roe by beating the Terriers, 8-6, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Roe was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The victory puts Toronto at 33-52.

The Hurons got a big hit from second baseman Roberto Hinojosa. Facing Boston pitcher Chuck Simoneaux in the top of the eighth, Hinojosa pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 15th double of the season put the Hurons ahead, 7-1.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Hinojosa. "You've got to get results."
