Denver Squanders Great Game by Moret
Despite a great performance by Denver right fielder Guillaume Moret, the Los Angeles Blockbusters defeated the Burros by the score of 10-9 at Blockbuster Stadium. Moret was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. Reliever Basil Anderson picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. John Suozzo, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Burros organization, took the loss. Tom Benson collected his 2nd save.

The Blockbusters got a big hit from pinch hitter Ernie Ronnebaum. In the bottom of the sixth, Ronnebaum smacked a bases-clearing double off Denver pitcher John Suozzo. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Blockbusters were ahead, 8-7.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Ronnebaum told reporters after the game.

Now 2-8, the Burros have gotten off to a poor start.
