The Boston Terriers picked up a win at Queens Field, topping the New York Empires, 7-3. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Nate Edwards. He played a principal role in the triumph. The victory makes Boston 6-3.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Vince Marshall came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing New York pitcher Nate Frampton, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 4-2.

"Nate pitched his heart out," said Boston manager Phil Palapa.
