Caito Lauded as Lords Defeat Generals, 8-3
Baltimore shortstop Mike Caito contributed significantly to his team's 8-3 win over the Atlanta Generals. Caito, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1970 draft, went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lords. Baltimore goes to 49-37, Atlanta to 38-48.

Baltimore left fielder Tom Payton helped the Lords go up, 5-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Payton hit a 2-run single off Atlanta pitcher Paul Darch.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Payton.
