The Montreal Habitants and Boston Terriers played an entertaining game for LaSalle Stadium patrons.

The Montreal Habitants eked out a 3-2 win versus the Boston Terriers at LaSalle Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Jeff Hess. He was terrific. Al Johns finished the game for Montreal and earned his 10th save.

Don Hill, who finished 2nd in the ABL in batting average with .303 in 1972, aided the Montreal cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"That's baseball," said Boston manager David Molina. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."

The win puts Montreal at 48-40 this season.
