Rockliffe Lays Hammer Down in 8-0 Win
|
Not everyone stuck through the 15-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Cincinnati had no answer for Milwaukee Dairymen hurler Tom Rockliffe, who overwhelmed Packers hitters as the Dairymen coasted to victory, 8-0. Milwaukee is now 36-53, Cincinnati 40-50.
Rockliffe subdued the Cincinnati offense. The Milwaukee right-hander allowed a mere 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while fanning 11. His season record goes to 1-3 with the win.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Dairymen manager Brandon Dudley. "This one was nice to get."
