Pobladores Earn Late Win
Los Angeles turned a good performance from starting pitcher Phil Lester into a 3-2 triumph over the Chicago Hawks at San Vicente Park. Lester, who is tied for 5th in the ABL in wins with 10, went the distance for Los Angeles. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. The Pobladores improved their record to 46-43 by beating Chicago.

John Fine was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pobladores shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Mike Flaherty.
