The Pittsburgh Industrials faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher Chris Hull, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Knickerbocker Stadium by a final score of 5-3. Hull went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Bob Cole earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 12-2. The first-place Industrials have won 4 in a row.
Pittsburgh used the clutch hitting of Carlos Chavez to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Industrials the lead, 4-3. For the game, Chavez had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
