Extra-Inning Win by Generals Over Northmen
|
The Atlanta Generals topped the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-3, in 10 innings at Twin Cities Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Atlanta pitcher George Palmer. Frank Noorani earned the save, his 1st in 1 tries. With the win over Twin Cities, the Generals improved to 39-48.
Atlanta used the timely hitting of Rudy Spencer to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Generals on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Spencer.
