Habitants Suffer One-Run Loss at Dallas
|
The Dallas Wranglers defeated the Montreal Habitants, 7-6. Doing his part was right fielder Steve Walp, who went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. Frank Dunn earned the save for Dallas, his 3rd of the year. Montreal now has a record of 5-4.
The Wranglers got a big at-bat from catcher Fred Johnson. For the game, Johnson went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Dallas a 4-2 lead.
"We'll build on this win," said Johnson.
