Brooklyn Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials went home winners at Flatbush Park, thanks in large part to starter Ron Winder. Winder stifled the Brooklyn Bluebirds, enabling Pittsburgh to grab the 3-0 win. John Lonergan notched his 3rd save in 3 chances. With the victory, the Industrials upped their record to 58-32.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Rob Isenbarger was at the plate when Pittsburgh scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Industrials to go in front, 1-0.
"Ron made the big pitches when he needed to," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
