A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Ivan Avila led the Cincinnati Packers to a win over the Milwaukee Dairymen, 8-6. Armando Estrada picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-9. He struck out 4 in 7.1 innings. Jerry Meek, credited with the save, is now 8 for 11 in save opportunities.

Cincinnati used a clutch at-bat from Glen Bennett to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Packers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Bennett said in reaction to the win.

The defeat makes Milwaukee 36-55.
