White Lifts Traders to 8-6 Win
Behind a fine performance from Ed White, the Chicago Traders knocked off the San Diego Captains, 8-6. White went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Traders. Chicago starter Jose Mojica was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 13-6. Randy Weisenberg earned the save for Chicago, his 16th of the year.

Walt McCord helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Chicago a 2-0 lead.

"We've got a great group of guys," McCord said, "and we're having fun right now."
