The Montreal Habitants defeated the Baltimore Lords, 6-2, in American Baseball League action at LaSalle Stadium. Tim Delaney pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Bob Schar, the winning pitcher, improved to 8-7. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 10 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The loss makes Baltimore 43-47.

With Montreal leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Delaney hit a slider from Kenny Wilson for a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Habitants ahead, 3-0.

Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon called it "a pretty good win."
