Trent, Explorers Finish Off Bulls, 4-1
|
St. Louis picked up a win at Corps of Discovery Stadium, toppling the Kansas City Bulls, 4-1. Pitcher Jimmy Trent was one of the reasons the Explorers triumphed. With the victory, the Explorers upped their record to 53-41.
It was a masterful performance from the popular Trent, who notched 4 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 5 hits. Trent, who led the NBL in wins with 20 in 1963, goes to 10-5 on the year with 108 strikeouts.
"We did a lot of things right," said Trent.
